At Parkland Physician Services of Salem, our board-certified family physician, Dr. Mark Pace, provides the highest quality primary care to the Salem, N.H. community. Our family practice provides a wide range of services for patients aged 16 and up, including:
Annual physical exams
A physical exam is important to maintaining good health and preventing disease. Dr. Pace is thorough and runs patients through a series of tests to check your vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate and respiration rate. He will also listen to your heart and lungs to detect any potential health issues. Dr. Pace will also listen to any concerns you may have toward your overall health and personalize the exam for each patient.
Pap smear testing
Dr. Pace performs a pap smear test as part of a pelvic exam for women. This test is performed to check cervical cells for changes that could become cancerous. We recommend women between the ages of 20-29 years old receive a pap smear test every 3 years. Women between the ages of 30-65 years old receive a pap test every 5 years.
Dr. Pace performs an EKG to diagnose heart conditions. The test involves placing small electrodes on a patient's skin to measure the electrical activity of their heart. This electrical activity is transformed into a graph and shows if the heart is beating normally.
Minor lesion removals
Dr. Pace performs minor surgical procedures to remove skin lesions, including moles, abnormal bumps and sores. Schedule an appointment to have any possible skin lesions reviewed by Dr. Pace.
Dr. Pace provides important immunizations to protect patients from illnesses and prevent serious health conditions. Our practice offers the following immunizations:
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis)
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis A (ordered through local pharmacy)
- Flu Shots
- Meningitis (special order)
- Medimmmune (special order)
